Maximillian Fargas is a fictional supporting character, who appeared in the 2002 film Spider-Man portrayed by Gerry Becker. The character is a bald tetraplegic who seems to be based strongly on Dr. Charles Xavier from Marvel's X-Men comic books.
Maximillian Fargas is a industrial executive who sits on the board of Oscorp Technologies alongside Henry Balkan and the rich company founder Norman Osborn. The company was working towards a supply arms contract with the United States Millitary. After rival developer Quest Aerospace was attacked and sabotaged, Oscorp had been given more government contracts and the company's stock soared.
He and the rest of the Board of Directors chose to accept a buyout offer from Quest angering Norman who was told he was expected to resign. This decision leads to Norman scheming away to become the villain who will soon become known as "The Green Goblin". As The Green Goblin, he attacks Oscorp's annual Unity Day street fair and kills Fargas and the rest of the Board of Directors to prevent the sell out.
