He appears as the main character of the prequel The Amazing Spider-Man: Kraven, an anti-hero in Sinister Six, and plays a minor role in The Amazing Spider-Man 3, and will play a larger role in The Amazing Spider-Man 4. He is portrayed by Joe Manganiello.

The Amazing Spider-Man: Kraven

Sergei Kravinoff was born in Russia in 1978 and was raised in South Africa. While growing up, Sergei had put himself under intense physical training to improve himself, to fulfill his life's calling of being a hunter, his family's profession. At age 20, Sergei killed his first lion, with pure instinct and rage, but was heavily injured as a result. He then began created a performance-enhancement potion with chemicals provided to him from black-market dealing with Norman Osborn. Administering several doses of this serum, Sergei became a pinnacle of human strength and instinct, thus finally making him "the ultimate hunter"

Sergei then gave himself a title "Kraven the Hunter", to let people know how feared and powerful he was. He was later approached by his business partner, Norman Osborn, who was slowly dying from a terminal genetic disease called Retroviral Hyperplasia. Osborn told Kraven that there was a way that he could be saved, as well as giving Kraven the best hunt of his life. He told him of the superhero Spider-Man, and Norman told Kravinoff that like him, Spider-Man's powers are a result of Oscorp's work (the genetically-altered spider that bit him). Seeing that the hero is the only successful subject to his old friend, Richard Parker's, work, Norman knew the key to his survival lied within Peter's blood.

Flying to New York City on a plane, Kraven prepared himself to hunt down his prey, Spider-Man. Finding the hero swinging around the city on his webs, Kraven began sniping at him to gain his attention.
