J.K. Simmons is an American film and television actor best known for his portrayal of Dr. Emil Skoda in the Law & Order television franchise. He portrayed J. Jonah Jameson in all three of Sam Raimi's Spider-Man films and the voice of J. Jonah in Spider-Man 3 the video game and the Ultimate Spider-man Animated Series.
Simmons was universally praised for his portrayal and has since been widely associated with the role. He voiced a very similar character in two episodes of The Simpsons and voiced Jameson the cartoon shows Ultimate Spider-Man and The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes. He has also stated that he would like to reprise the role of J. Jonah Jameson in Marc Webb's re-booted franchise were he to be offered.
