HistoryEdit

The Amazing Spider-ManEdit

Stacy grew to become one of New York's top police officers. After Spider-Man revealed himself Stacy's top priority became the arrest of Spider-Man, regarding him as nothing more than a vigilante on a private mission, ignorant of wider issues and the legal system. This was probably because at this time Peter's plight was focused on finding the man who killed his uncle rather than protecting the innocent. Once he discovered Spider-Man's identity and realizes that Spider-Man was on his side and can save his daughter, he changed his opinion.

After being mortally wounded by the Lizard while buying time for Peter to release the antidote, George makes him promise to stop seeing his daughter Gwen, in order to keep her safe from his dangerous double life, before he succumbed to his wounds. Peter initially agreed to the promise, but later hints he is reconsidering it, much to Gwen's joy.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2Edit

George Stacy appears often as vision, hallucination to Spider-Man, haunting him for the promise he did not and does not keep about his daughter. Gwen's death at the hands of the Green Goblin prove that he was right, because Peter couldn't keep his distance from her and also Gwen was killed by Spider-Man's enemy after finding out that Peter was Spider-Man, who also knew Gwen.
