List of Deleted Scenes

The following is a list of the deleted, extended and alternated scenes from various Spider-Man films. It should be noted, any additional plot points or exposition, deleted scenes are considered canon, unless they are contradicted in the published scenes of the films.

Spider-Man[]

After drawing his costume, Peter Parker was originally going to have to make his own web-shooters instead of his organic webbing, however this was cut entirely.
Stan Lee had a different cameo, originally having to ask Peter to buy sunglasses and referencing the X-Men, another Marvel property that had a film produced.
After saving a couple of people by web-pulling them away from the falling debris, Peter was seen by a couple of children, praising Peter for what he has done, ending the scene with Peter's shushing about his secret.
An alternative scene of Norman talking to his mask was filmed but cut from the film, the only footage of it can be seen is by the blooper reel.

Spider-Man 2[]

Note: Most or all of these scenes can be found on the extended cut of the film.

An extended scene with Mr. Aziz was taking place in his pizza parlor, talking loudly at his employees and telling Peter to take someone else's shift for delivery.
Harry Osborn was talking to Peter about his father and how he was murdered by Spider-Man, Peter tried to calm him down and soon after it talked about the death of Peters uncle as an analogy to kill Spider-Man. Harry then calmed down and apologized on his birthday and the scene ended with Aunt May and Mary Jane singing happy birthday to Peter.
An alternate scene where Peter arrives back to his apartment, and chains his moped to a lamppost and enters the building. (This scene was shown in FX airings of the movie not in 2.1 edition).
An extended fight scene with Spider-Man against Doctor Octopus, took place at a certain area and Spider-Man captured but Doc Ock's tentacles and being attack, there were even more footage shown later while scaling up the building, Spidey pinning Doc Ock to land multiple punches.
A PR firm was taking an elevator in the building upon the arrival of spider-man, the guy decided pitch some ideas to him so that Spider-Man can have some sort of branding, however he decline his number card.
After Peter's check up at the Doctor he asked him about his dream as Spider-Man, an alternate way of portraying the scene was the doctor telling Peter his shrink and how face with identity and able to become your own.
J. Jonah Jameson was dressing as spider-man and imitating his webbing poses and jumping around while his employees watch him at awe at what he has done, Robbie being displeased, Betty laughing, and Hoffman being stunningly shocked at him dressing as Spider-Man.
While in class, Peter was learning about Dr.O's Fusion that taught by Dr.Connors, however he was not paying attention and doodling about MJ and himself as Spider-Man wondering what he wants.
Mary Jane and her friend were talking about John Jameson and wondering if MJ loves him. Her friend explains what love is to a woman.

Spider-Man 3[]

Note: Most or all of these scenes are proven to be a real by the novelization, behind the scenes footage, shots from unused scenes, and exclusive Editor’s cut scenes.

The opening credits would take a direction where more scenes from the previous films are added and the color black is played to highlight the dark theme of the film, only being in a concept arts.
We are shown a close-up of New York City before the scene of Spider-Man swinging between buildings appears on television.
In the novelization , after seeing himself on television, Peter walking, he would begin to say a short monologue expressing that being the arachnid has led him to move on from his close thoughts of death since he experienced it and feels danger as something he became accustomed to.
We would see a male child imitating his hero Spider-Man as his mother retrieve him from the rope he was swinging from in Central Park.
Peter tried to visit Harry Osborn at Oscorp to try to explain what happened between him and Norman Osborn, but was stopped by an Oscorp receptionist.
According to the novelization, the symbiote sticks to Peter's shoe instead of his motorcycle.
Norman talks with Harry about from his friend Peter, there are some extra lines said by Norman such as "Why haven't you killed Peter Parker ?" and "He took me away from you?", including an extra scene from Harry's hallucination.
While Harry injects himself with the green goblin serum, we are shown among his gadgets a helmet that refers to the hobgoblin.
Peter sees a piano and starts playing it out of nostalgia since his aunt had taught him to play the instrument, but Peter plays the piano so badly that he wakes up the neighbors and they tell him to shut up, seen in conceptual art.
An extended fight between Harry Osborn and Peter Parker was animatedly shot which was not in the theatrical cut, however it was partially seen in the Comic-Con trailer and an early previsualization.
An alternate version of Flint Marko's transformation in sandman was shot but unused in the final cut.

Flint Marko would wake up in a slightly longer form and when he solidified he regains his human form, looks at his hand and realizes that he now has sand powers.
After reading the newspaper's review of her, Mary Jane tells her boyfriend that those criticisms make her doubt her acting and singing abilities, she thinks that maybe what she does is wrong.
In the novelization Ursula talks with Mary Jane about his habilities of sing and she offers him a job at the jazz club because they need a good singer.

When Spider-Man arrives to save Gwen, he quickly propels himself towards where she was falling, avoiding the rubble of the building one by one.
Peter now stops the crane, he hits her between the buildings so that they can then turn off the machine, saving many people, there's only one shot that comes from the trailer for the San Diego Comic-Con.
After Harry returns home, he invites Mary Jane to spend some time in the park where her taste for strawberries is evident, and they are later joined by Peter, seen in behind-the-set photos.

Several shots of the ceremony for Spider-Man was shot but cut from the film.
Extended dialogue in between Gwen to Eddie where she makes it clear that they are not a couple and she doesn't need his help with his speech that she will say
While Peter is walking through the crowd, he sees a boy dressed as an arachnid. This boy shoots a toy spider web at him, and Peter seeing that makes sure that no one is watching him and shoots a spider web at the boy's shoe.
Peter meets Gwen reviewing her speech for the festival, he greets her kindly and she responds to the greeting, she tells Peter about her fear of speaking in public so he decides to give her advice on how to do it well, after which he says goodbye from Gwen because he "must do something important" and she thanks him for helping her.

When the Sandman appears, he sends a baby flying, which in the end Spider-Man saves him and returns him to his mother and then follows the sand that flew away.

According to the novelization, Flint Marko spoke with a doctor to discuss his daughter Penny's health. He asks Dr. Phil Wallace to save his daughter from the illness she suffers with the money he stole. The doctor tells him that with what he gave her he doesn't even have enough money for test tubes and he won't help her because he stole that money, it is then that Flint slams him against the window and begs him for help, so without any other options the doctor agrees to help him, so Flint leaves the place to get more money.
When the detective Neil Garret calls Peter to tell him about his Uncle Ben's murderer, he says these cut dialogues "We have a new information about your uncle's killer, he still free"
Peter would be obsessed with finding Flint Marko, so he seeks all possible information about his ubication (he sticks her in his room) to hunt him down and make him pay for his crime, here he would start to think what caused the death of Dennis Carradine, being that He had nothing to do with his uncle's death.
In a extended dialogue Mary Jane tells Peter that she loved uncle Ben and that she seriously wants to help him deal with this situation, Peter coldly refused.
Peter has a dream in which a spider would fight against the symbiote, representing the internal conflict that Peter goes through, in the end the spider ends up losing, that would wake Peter up but he would go back to sleep thinking it was just a nightmare. (Near Peter's closet the symbiote that had hidden in a glass moves to Peter's bed)

Peter would talk to his uncle Ben again about the evil that consumes him when out of nowhere a humanoid creature in black makes a tremendous scream that ends up waking Peter up, seen in a blooper.
When Peter woke up he was wearing a black suit and would say "Where is suit come from " "Feels good the power, everything" and when he looks in the mirror of the building he sees his red and blue spiderman suit so he believes he is still the same person.
Flint Marko with his sand powers steals a bank of jewels so he can save his poor daughter, which is what motivates him to keep going no matter what.
Peter lands in a taxi, destroying it from the top, demonstrating the power and anger he feels at that moment thanks to the black suit.
There are some extra shots of Eddie Brock photographing black suited Spidey and there are a few cut dialogues like "Wow Spidey look at your new ouffit" "Lookig good Spidey" "Now I'm gonna take you pictures for the Bugle"
In an extra shot of the fight in the subway with Sandman, Spider-Man hits him with a metal subway pipe, and in the novelization Peter before fighting, takes off his mask before Flint because this fight is very personal for him.
While looking closely in the mirror, the Venom symbiote (an animatronic was played) appears for a brief moment in Peter's mind and it scares him.
After seeing that horrible creature Peter tries to take off the black suit quickly but it seemed like the suit was stuck to his skin and after a little struggle he managed to take it off and put the suit in a trunk, seen in the novelization.
Aunt May's extended dialogue about revenge, in the trailer she tells her nephew Peter "You can't live with revenge in your heart, is like a poison. It can take you over, and before you know it, it can turn you into something ugly".
According to the novelization, Peter returns to his apartment because he wants to know what the black suit is made of, but he is afraid to approach it again since he does not want to unite with that thing, so when he sees a black substance in his shoe takes it in a jar and takes it to Dr. Connors.
In the novelization Harry recovers his memory and his father appears to him telling him to kill Peter to avenge him, but Harry refuses because he doesn't want to hurt his friends, and even if he did what he asks, his bloodlust for his other enemies would not end, because which Harry will no longer pay attention to him.
After Mary Jane leaves the mansion, his father speaks to Harry again to act in front of such friends who only used him, Peter knew the truth all this time and did not tell him because it was convenient for him to keep him ignorant of his past and Mary Jane used him as a disposable plate, therefore Harry was determined to make those who harmed him pay and accepted his father's request by giving him a hug, it's only appear in the novel.
Alternative way how Harry would attack Mary Jane in his own apartment.
While Peter fixes his shirt, he sees himself seduced by the black suit, encouraging him to put it on again. He was hesitating whether to do it or not even though he knew it was wrong. Luckily, he looked away from the suit because Ursula spoke to him.
Extended scene where Peter apologizes to Ursula for yelling at his father, however she easily forgives him.
There is an extra shot of Harry clapping after MJ breaks up with Peter.
A deleted cameo of Sam Raimi (He's wearing a navy suit) after Mary Jane go out from the park
Peter falls to the temptation of wearing the black suit again, he looks at it in a very happy way and finally he's wearing the black suit (You can see that the black suit is breathing, which means that it is a living being).
According the novelization Peter sees the article that Bugle wrote about Spiderman in the black suit, he takes a newspaper to read the details of the news and pays the newspaper man, Peter realizes that Eddie Brock wrote the article

In quite comical scene after Eddie is fired, is when Ted Hoffman tries to calm Jameson with chimes, the scene was filmed however it was only shown in a blooper of the film and not in the final cut.
After exposing Eddie Brock for faking his photos, Spider-Man in his black suit was swinging across New York City in daylight, after that he struggle against criminals in the New York streets showing the power that the black suit gives and his brutality unleashed, then he put it away his black suit in his trunk (Peter looks so weak after the scene)
Eddie would try to explain to Gwen his version of why he defamed Spider-Man, she however would not listen to his words and would reject the cherry centers that Eddie wanted to give her, she makes it clear that they are nothing, arguing that no woman would pay attention to a man. loser like him since he defamed a noble hero who saved many lives and also saved his own, Eddie begged for Gwen's attention but she and her father simply kicked him out of the house.
Upon returning to his apartment, Peter would find a letter on his bed that said "How does it feels to lose the one you love, I remember everything, Harry." There Peter already realized that it was all Harry's plan to make him suffer and provoke him.
Peter crushes a spider to represent that the black suit is being turned by someone evil.
Alternative opening scene of Peter's fight against Harry, here show Peter's superiority would be demonstrated at all times and at the end when Harry's face is disfigured, he screams for it and asks his father for forgiveness for not being able to kill Peter, only for the novelization.
In the novel Peter goes to the university for invite Gwen to go out at the club of jazz these night
Eddie, after losing everything, goes to a bar to drown his sorrows and pain in alcohol, he believed that this would relieve him and make him feel better. When he leaves the bar to go home, he sees Gwen leaving with Peter and that makes him sad. enough motivation to go to church to talk to God about his unjust life, only appear in the novelization.

Peter steals a kiss from Gwen in front of Mary Jane which causes Gwen to punch him in the face for manipulating her and apologize to poor MJ.
In an alternate dialogue "What's happen with you", MJ begs Peter to take off his black suit since it changed his personality so radically that everyone noticed it except him.
Extended shots about Peter sitting in the top of the church, asking for him why he doesn't listen to Dr.Connors' warnings and how the black suit ruined his life and distanced him from his friends.
Shots of Eddie walking slowly to the seat in the church, when he sits down he begins to recite a monologue about how life was unfair to him, he asked himself, why did he have to suffer in a world of imperfections where everyone treated him cruelly? Why couldn't anyone see things the way he wanted? Everyone around him judged him even though he only wanted to do the right thing. Why couldn't he have what he wanted most? Why could everyone do it and he couldn't? What about Eddie? He followed the rules that God put in the world but no one understood him, he just wanted a happy life with Gwen but everything was ruined by Peter Parker. Eddie refused to think that he caused his misfortunes himself.

When the symbiote sticks to Eddie, he would have an alternative Venom design plus a roar that sounded very impressive for the character.
According the novelization the symbiote passes Peter's memories to Eddie and that causes him to discover glimpses of Peter's entire personal life. He would also have the memories of Peter wearing the Spiderman suit, which Eddie does not believe at first but decides to go to his apartment to confirm what the symbiote told him
To go to Peter's apartment, Eddie decides to do a swing to test his new powers.
Eddie arrives at Peter's apartment and would see an important things, the photo of MJ so the suit tells him that she was Parker's ex-girlfriend, and then upon looking in his closet he discovers that Parker is Spider-Man and that Gwen is kiss with him, making Eddie completely hate Peter
Peter realizes that Eddie was near his apartment so he quickly runs into him on the street.
Penny and her mother was sitting at a park bench and getting ready to leave, Flint was disguised as a sand castle in order to meet his daughter., when both girls leaves the park he say that Spider-Man never can't stop anymore him.
There was an alternate scene of Eddie Brock asking Sandman for help right after seeing his daughter at the park, he tries to convince Flint to kill Spider-Man because that guy only gets in the way of being happy and that he will never leave them alone, unless they kill him, so Flint accepts the idea from Eddie.
In the novelization Peter returns to the church to catch the symbiote that was left, unfortunately that thing was no longer there so Peter leaves the place.
Mary Jane gives a forgiveness speech "We've all done terrible things to each other, but we have to forgive each other. Or everything we ever were will mean nothing" in the film but was cut, however her lines can be heard in a few trailers. She gives this speech to Harry so that he can reconcile with Peter despite his past mistakes.
In the novelization Peter goes to the MJ's apartment but she wasn't there
Extended shots where we see how the police and swat try to rescue MJ but the combination of Venom and Sandman is more powerful
In a alternative scene Peter would go to Harry's house to ask for his help to face those villains (he does it with his citizen clothes), however Harry would refuse and would kick him out of his house.

When Peter arrives at the final battle, he apologizes to Mary Jane for the disaster that occurred at the jazz club, she thought that gesture was cute.
When Spider-Man and Venom fall from the black web, Spidey manages to grab the building above and on the contrary, Venom falls to the ground and remains motionless.
According to the novelization Gwen would be seeing the Spider-Man' fight in his house, she realizes that Venom is really Eddie and she would look up MJ's background and finds out that villains always kidnap her, so Gwen feels sorry for her.
A police officer accompanied by Dr. Wallace arrives at the Stacy's house, and the police officer tells Captain Stacy that Wallace knows how to stop Sandman, so Gwen, her dad and Dr. Wallace leave the house, seen in the novelization.
Extended fight in between Spider-Man to Sandman in giant form, there are a previsualization and an animatic.
Penny and her mother were watching Spider-Man's fight on television, when Penny realizes that Sandman is her father Flint, Dr. Wallace arrives along with the police to tell them how they can stop Sandman.

When J Jonah Jameson asks for photos of the fight, he names Eddie even though he fired him, this appear in the novelization.
Extended fight in between Harry and Sandman, in the end Sandman turns into his human form and he escape into the building.
Gwen, captain Stacy and Pill Wallce arrives to the building and In the middle of the final battle, Dr. Wallace and Captain Stacy draw up the plan for Flint to see his family and talk to them. Luckily for him, he shrunk and fled into the building.
There was a deleted fight in between Harry and Venom and before he can help his friend, he faces Venom with whom he has an even fight, the strange thing is that Venom looked more and more skinny and malnourished as time went by.
Penny and Emma Marko arrive at Flint to convince him to not kill Spider-Man and Penny can't be cured and she can die, Penny just wanted her dad to come home with them again, Flint got sad and hugged his daughter saying he can't do it since he killed a man. Then Flint explains Uncle Ben's death to Peter and he forgive him.
Hearing Venom's roars, Peter asks Flint Marko to get his family out of the building so they leave the place.
An alternate scene, Venom manually removes Peter's mask and tells him that he likes being the bad guy, there when Venom is about to kill Peter with the sharp metal bar. Harry puts himself in the middle of the attack, receiving a fatal wound, Venom tries again to attack Peter. Peter but he throws more metal bars on him, which knocks the metal bar near Peter now Venom launches the attack and Peter manages to free himself from his bonds and impales Venom in the heart, seen only in the novelization.
Peter realizes that Eddie died inside the black suit, Venom completely consumed him until leaving his skeleton unrecognizable, the symbiote slips from Eddie's corpse, abandoning him, Peter could only think about Eddie's suffering inside the suit and did not realize that the symbiote grew in size, only seen in the stock footage and the novelization.
The giant form of the symbiote tells Peter "Never hurt what you can't kill" and from its body a tentacle catches Peter by the leg and then subdues him from head to toe, the creature completely immobilizes him. Peter sees a joint of metal rods so he hooks that with a spider web and pulls it down with all his strength, the symbiote is exposed to the sound of thousands of resonating rods which ended up slowly killing him, Peter managed to get away from there only to see how Venom died by sound, only seen in a stock footage and obviusly in the novelization.

The film was going to end on a final swing but it can assume for budget reasons this had to be cut. A couple of these unfinished shots were from the leaked trailer but never shown in the final cut.
In the credits of the film this unused score called "Black is the color"

The Amazing Spider-Man[]

An extended scene of Peter storming off into the night and buys a ‘Milk Chug’ where he bickers with a store clerk over two cents as the Peter’s after costs. When Peter was leaving the cash register thief steals the money and gives the milk to Peter, once the store clerk notice this he yells at Peter for not stopping him. Peter then rest at the bottom of the railroad and checking his phone calls from Uncle Ben, he notice gunshot was fired of miles away. While walking down the alleyway an old man was laying in the ground which Peter ran across revealing to Uncle Ben, skulking on his dead body. This led to an extended scene of Aunt May and Peter upset on Uncle Ben's death and more on the suspected killer.
In a deleted scene, Dr. Connors appears at Peter’s doorstep and offer his sympathy after the death of Uncle Ben. During his conversation with Peter, Connor asks to take the time to look at his three-legged lab mouse, in which he’s grow another leg, thanks to Connors’ serum.
In a deleted scene, Peter was going to visit Gwen for dinner when he was stopped by a doorman and telling if he was dropping off or picking up which then lead to him wanting whats in the bag, Peter rejects his permission which then lets not take access to the apartment.
Connors goes through a secret metal gate, Peter, then follows him around a corner of the building higher up to see which then leads up to finding out his secret hiding spot in the sewer.
Ratha ‘hacks’ his way into the Oscorp’s network, locating Connors on sewer in a GPS which then gave access to his videoblogs.

A deleted scene of The Lizard showing his humanity even as he scales up the evil inside. Having Connors shown to be having a split personality and letting the Lizard take over.
A deleted scene of Connors having a moment of his son Billy and explaining to him that he’s going away for a while.
In a deleted scene, The Lizard makes his way to the Midtown Science High School in a toilet cubicle. Finding two girls in the stall, The Lizard then stared at the two petrified teens. The Lizard uses his tongue lolling out near the girls’ faces and then leaves as the girls proceeded to scream.
In a deleted scene, Peter Parker searches the campus for Connors finding scratches on the wall and inspects Connors asking him to help him.
In a deleted scene, Peter follows Connors in his lair and talk about how change something so that everyone would be equal, Connors then injects another dose of the Lizard serum before growling, hissing and turning his now-yellow eyes towards a frightened Peter. Ratha arrived and shoot bullets into former employees with a gun, spraying sedative into Peter’s face. Ratha talks to Peter about his father and how his wildest dreams had come true as much as now Peter then get up with the help with Ratha but not as long as the Lizard moves Peter and chokes Ratha and swallow his head whole.
In a deleted scene, a running joke about Peter buying eggs, which had gotten Aunt May breaking eggs into a bowl, after talking about responsibility with Peter.
In multiple deleted scenes, Peter was skateboarding in front of his school which he then failed a trick and hurting himself while the other teenagers laugh at him, Peter skates a busy street in Manhattan, and Peter skateboarding in the streets when suddenly a car went by him which then triggers his spider-sense resulting him to land a land-post.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2[]

An extended scene of Richard Parker and his wife Mary Parker were at a private plane but an assassin was plan to kill them, Richard was originally going to steal the man's gun and see if the pilot is flying revealing the pilot to be dead and the plane to going once he lie face down, resulting the plane crash.
In Peter's and Gwen's high school graduation, Flash goes up to Gwen and thanks her for all the tutoring for college.
A deleted scene in which Max is celebrating his birthday until the power shuts down, leaving his mother having no power for her oxygen tank. Max fixes the tank and told his mom that its is his birthday which his mom continues to make fun of him.
While visiting Oscorp, Peter was introduce to new tech, a battlesuit prototype that improves physical attributes. After showing Peter that, Harry showed him a piece of surveillance photos of him as a child, Peter asked why to which Harry replied, "Isn't that the question of the day ?".
After turning into the Green Goblin, Harry went on a rampage at Oscorp and started to use pumpkin bombs to attack the military operatives. After the devastation, the people at Oscorp began to escape, Felecia was going to run until she saw her boss' disfigurement, Harry looked at himself in the mirror and shouted at her to leave.
Harry was supposed to kill Donald Menken by throwing him off the top of a building, which would explained why he disappeared throughout the film.
After spending months mourning the death of Gwen Stacy, Peter visited her grave, only to find his father there. Richard explains what happened to him and Mary, and tells Peter she died. Richard tells Peter that if we lose hope, the people we lost died for nothing. He adds that it was not his destiny to save people, it was Peter's. He then tells Peter that with great power comes great responsibility.

Spider-Man: Homecoming[]

A film by Peter Parker was extended from the original opening scene, taking place in Berlin, Germany. Also, it is known that Spider-Man was the face of news from the people in Germany.
Peter decides to quit the Academic Decathlon and told everyone of his classmates to know he was busy, which resulted him into being hated by everyone on the team. Liz begs Peter to re-join the academic decathlon team before Nationals, only to be turned down the offer.
Peter and Ned make their way to Washington, DC. Along the way, they pass by the rebuilding of the Triskelion. As Michelle explains, repairs are still being made and Damage Control are stilling hauling things off.
Peter goes swinging in New York at night after his backpack was gone.
Vulture talks to his daughter, Liz, and succumbing to the stresses of his business by throwing over a shelf.
After getting stuck to his car from Spider-Man' web, Aaron Davis tries his best to get him out of it, calling his nephew Miles to apologize for not meeting up with him.
Peter and Ned walk after school, Ned comments on how the Vulture almost killed him, however despite the consequences, Peter decides to deal with him on his own.
An extended scene of a plane heading to crash near Coney Island, Happy Hogan was calling his mother just before he notices it.
Mr. Harrington's Lessons of Love, is a segment of one of Mr. Harrington's given advice for many things on love and relationships towards many bystanders.
Midtown Newscast provides reports around the events of what had happened with Spider-Man and Shocker including a segment of who is behind the mask.
